Stitch Festival

The Stitch Festival is held each year, over four days at the Business Design Centre in London and is a wonderful event for anyone interested in dressmaking, patchwork and quilting, crochet, knitting, embroidery and much much more. Alongside an extensive workshop programme there are curated displays of textile work, a fashion show and lots of lovely things to buy. I spent two very busy days teaching workshops which I enjoyed.
There is a dressmaking competition and these two garments really caught my eye in the Recycled textiles category. The first has been made entirely from recycled denim by Regina Fox-Galassic and isn’t it just stunning? I love the way that the maker has constructed the sleeves. The second garment has been made from silk ties by Angela Bockett-Pugh and is very inventive.

I just loved the vibrant colours of this crocheted display.

And finally….. If you watched the Masked Singer on TV you would have seen a celebrity dressed up as Knitting. The actual costume was on display so I just had to take a photo. It must have been so hot to sing and dance in a ball of wool!
