Welcome to Patchwork Patterns.

I have an extensive range of workshops on offer. Some are available as half days or evenings, while others are one, two or three day classes. I am happy to travel to groups or shops. Please visit the workshop page to see what I teach and then contact me on info@patchworkpatterns.co.uk for availability and cost.

I have a number of patterns for sale and these are available as PDFs, ready for instant download. Patterns can be purchased by Paypal through this website or a selection are available from my ETSY shop via this link where other payment options are available.

I used up some of my precious Liberty fabric scraps in this little needle/notion storage case. The needle case and pattern feature in this month’s @lovesewingmag. Thank you @vlieseline_uk for the 640 fusible wadding. It is just perfect for this type of project.

Im teaching at the Knitting and Stitching Show in London in October. I’m there on Thursday and teaching visible mending on denim, FPP Liberty hearts and Italian corded quilting and on Friday shabby chic Xmas trees, FPP Liberty hearts again and fabric storage baskets.

The lovely people @clovermfg have given me a quick desk needle threader to try and also one to giveaway. I have always struggled to get on with needle threaders having tried several over the years with limited success however I found that this one has worked perfectly every time!
It takes needles sizes between 0.46 - 0.89mm and is simple to operate.

Some students were using the blocks to make quilts while others to make tote bags. These were stitched using the FPP technique which was a new method to some. Great work everyone.

Having a couple of days away in Brighton and the S

Having a couple of days away in Brighton and the South Coast. Started with the Pavillion in Brighton. The carpet is amazing and the decor a feast of pattern. Next on to Beachy Head for a good walk to blow the cobwebs away. Spied Long Man in the distance and had dinner at the Marina. We have had a great visit.

Lots of student work here from my block of the month workshops @tudorrosepatchwork. We are stitching a Springtime quilt and are working on the rows of blocks at the moment. These are the mosaic tiles and the striped hearts blocks. I love the variety of colour combinations that everyone is using and really enjoy seeing the quilts progress. Fabric Christmas Cracker Workshop - the sustainable option.
I know it’s only July! But….. if you want to get organised ahead of time come and join me on Friday 16th August @poppypatch2015 for a half day workshop where we make these reusable fabric crackers. The crackers come apart so that a gift can be put inside and can be stitched in fabric to match your table decoration. The great thing is that they can be used year after year so no waste.
Poppy Patch have a Christmas event taking place during the day so it’s going to be a fun day. Bookings can be made directly with the shop.
