Welcome  to Patchwork Patterns.

I have an extensive range of face to face workshops on offer. Some are available as half days or evenings, while others are one, two or three day classes. I am happy to travel to groups or shops. Please visit the workshop page to see what I teach and then contact me on info@patchworkpatterns.co.uk for availability and cost.

I have a number of patterns for sale and these are available as PDFs, ready for instant download. Patterns can be purchased from my ETSY shop via this link where several payment options are available.

A selection of images from my workshops. Use the workshops link at the top of the page to see a complete list.

I have written six books and many patterns and features for Patchwork, Quilting and Sewing magazines.

  • Yesterday was day one of stitching blocks for our Improv quilts @tudorrosepatchwork. We were working on improv squares which will become triangles eventually. Lots of fun and mess!

  • For the past year I have been participating in a quilting bee block swop at the patchwork group that I belong to. Every month I have had to make a block for someone and every month someone has made a block for me. These are the blocks that have been made for me. A lovely selection of bright colours. I am going to stitch these into a quilt for charity. My initial thought is to add some white sashing between the blocks. What would you do?

  • Some lovely finishes from students on classes @tudorrosepatchwork
The first is an In the Frame quilt stitched by Mary. The second and third quilts have been stitched by Cherry and Angie using my Ginger Spice quilt design. Fabulous work everyone. Love sharing your completed projects.

  • Visited the Paint! Pattern! Print! Textile exhibition by Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell at the Fashion and Textile Museum in Bermondsey today. Such a vibrant exhibition and explosion of colour. A lifetime of creativity to appreciate. The exhibition closes soon so if you are in London it is a must see.

  • The Knit and Stitch show at Ally Pally is coming around very quickly and I’m busy preparing for my workshops. I’m teaching:
• Foundation paper pieced Liberty hearts
• Reuseable fabric Xmas crackers
• Fabric storage baskets
• Italian corded quilting
Come and join me. I would love to see you.

  • Ho Ho Ho! Oh no it’s not Christmas yet! Just getting organised with this Xmas wreath table centre/wall hanging. Stitched last week ready for a workshop @tudorrosepatchwork in November. It was a great stash buster for green and cream fabrics so I’ve used a few more scraps.

  • Some fabulous finishes from students on my Friday Patchwork workshop @poppypatch2015
Cushions stitched from selvedges and a bag, table runner and quilts in a Flower Market design. Well done everyone.

Hope you are all having a good start to the week.
