I have been busy putting together some new workshops. I so love coming up with ideas for workshops and then translating the ideas into quilts. Once I have worked out the blocks and the measurements; the sewing is the part I enjoy the most. I love stitching the binding on at the very end as it means you are nearly there.
The first workshop that I have put together is a Foundation Paper Pieced workshop called Scrappy Swirls. It uses up scraps, scraps and more scraps and is a good introduction to FPP. The blocks are quite large so the quilt goes together pretty quickly.
The second workshop is a Delectable Mountains quilt. This is a traditional block but pieced using a quick method and a modern colour palette. I very rarely work with solid fabrics so it has been really good to use these beautiful fabrics which have an almost linen look to them.
