Square in a Square Quilt
The design of this quilt is great for fabrics where you may wish to fussy cut the centres and showcase the fabric. The blocks have a simple construction method but when they are put on point an effective design results. I have made my quilt using very bright fabrics with a contrasting pink fabric for the setting triangles but I think it would work with most fabric combinations or alternatively a scrappy fabric combination. Machine sewing. One day.

Belly Button Bears
Stitch a simple but effective small quilt suitable for a child. The felt bears have buttons in their bellies! Great gift idea. Hand and machine sewing. Beginner level. Half day or evening.

Country Cushion
Machine piece and applique a country style cushion. Complete your project with hand quilting. One day.

Patchwork Teddy Bear
A lovely teddy bear which makes a delightful gift. Machine pieced. One day.

Fabric Christmas Crackers
Make your own crackers as presents for others or as a permanent table decoration to contain personal gifts for family or friends. There will be time also to make a little extra wall hanging if the class is booked for a day. Hand and/or machine sewing. One day or half day or evening.

Christmas Pillow Wreath
Make a Christmas wreath from small stuffed pillows of fabric. Embellish with ribbon or small decorations. Machine sewing. One day.

Charming Hearts and Pinwheels
Do you buy packets of charm squares and then wonder what to do with them? Each of these heart blocks uses 14 charm squares – the leftovers make pinwheel blocks. Machine sewing. One day.

Blocks in Bloom
Create a quilt where appliqued flowers and blooms are surrounded by half log cabin blocks and then joined with a pieced sashing. Intermediate level. Machine sewing. Two days.

Autumn Leaves
Machine piece autumn leaf blocks, surrounding them with a pieced border. This project can be finished as a table runner, table mats, cushion or the start of a quilt. One day.

Spring flowers
Create a jug of Spring flowers using gathered fabric strips spiraled into dimensional petals. Predominantly hand sewing with a little machine applique. This can be finished as a cushion or wall hanging. One day.

Country Garden
Machine appliqué a country style project focusing on the garden. This project finishes as a small quilt or wall hanging. One day.

Scrap Quilt – Stars and Chains
Create a quick scrap quilt containing star and chain blocks. This workshop is a good opportunity to use up some of those fabric scraps that you have been saving for a rainy day! One day.

Christmas Stockings
Stitch a number of Christmas stockings including tiny felt stockings, strip pieced stockings and appliquéd stockings in different sizes. Hand and machine sewing. One day.

Grow a Quilt
Grow a quilt row by row. Machine piece and appliqué a quilt, building it up a row at a time. This quilt can be as small or as large as you wish – watch it grow! Machine sewing. Two or three days.

Cathedral Window
Cathedral window looks like an intricate unsolvable puzzle, however it is amazingly simple to construct. Learn how to use this folded technique and begin to construct a cushion or small wall hanging. Hand and machine sewing. One day.

Second Sampler Quilt
A workshop or workshops for those who have perhaps completed their first quilt but wish to go on to learn some further techniques. Techniques covered include foundation piecing, machine appliqué, stained glass patchwork, Hawaiian appliqué and more complicated machine piecing. Predominantly machine sewing.

Christmas Quilt
Machine piece and appliqué a quilt featuring Santa and his reindeer, angels, a bell, a snowman, carol singers, a Christmas pud, and some stars to name just a few. Two or three days.

Glitzy Stars
Machine piece and appliqué a glitzy or (not so glitzy) quilt of many stars. A number of star blocks are taught which come together to make a quilt of many stars. Machine sewing. Two days.

Leaves in the Cabin
This quilt combines log cabin with Autumn leaves. The leaves are actually pieced into the log cabin blocks. This produces a very effective quilt. Machine sewing. One day.

Square Dance
Learn the square dance technique to make a quilt of tessellating blossoms. It’s amazingly simple when you know how! We start with a small block, which can be made into a cushion before moving on to the quilt. Machine sewing. One day.

A Taste of the Orient
Machine piece and appliqué a quilt with a Japanese theme. A central motif is surrounded with blocks featuring kimono dolls, baskets, Japanese symbols, kimonos etc. If you have been collecting Japanese fabrics this is a good project to showcase your fabrics. Three days. 

Celtic Hearts
Create a small simple lap quilt showcasing Celtic Hearts made from bias strips. Machine sewing. Half day or evening.

Patchwork Angel Bag
Stitch a large bag, which is ideal for taking quilts and supplies to workshops. The bag is constructed using strip piecing and appliqué and is good for using up scraps of fabric. Machine sewing and appliqué. One day.

Mystery Quilt
This class can be taught as a mystery quilt or as an ordinary class. The quilt features snails trail blocks and pinwheel blocks and is set on point. Machine sewing. One day.

Busy Bag
A portable Busy Bag containing activities to keep a young child entertained. The bag is bright and eye catching and the activities include numbers, shapes, a zip, pockets for pens, pencils and papers, a clock and a felt story-board with characters and figures. Machine appliqué and stitching. One day.

1930’s Revisited
Create a small appliquéd quilt using figures, flowers and motifs from the 1930s. Machine sewing. One day.

Garden Quilt
A large quilt containing flowers, blooms, baskets, birds, vines and leaves. Machine piecing and lots of machine appliqué. Three days.

Calendar Quilt
Come along and be a calendar girl! Stitch a 12 block quilt – one block for each month of the year. These blocks are machine appliquéd, surrounded by half square log cabins and put together with quilt as you go. Machine piecing and appliqué. Three days.

Japanese Wall Hanging
This project is ideal for using up any small pieces of Japanese fabric that you may have left over from an earlier project. The project involves machine piecing and appliqué and features oriental blooms. One day.

Folk Art Felt Gift Bags
These little bags are ideal for gifts during the year or at Christmas time. With folk style motifs and big stitches these bags are quick to make. Hand sewing. An evening.

Mystery Quilt (2)
This quilt can be taught as either a mystery quilt or as an ordinary class. The quilt is constructed from 2 blocks – a pieced flower and also a nine patch block. Machine sewing. One day.

Bugs and Beasties
Machine piece and appliqué a children’s quilt featuring a selection of little creatures. This bright and cheerful quilt can be finished in a variety of sizes and personalized for a special little person. Machine Sewing. One day.

Flower Gift Bags
Fresh flowers and embroidery threads and yarns are bonded to fabric to create delicate gift bags. The workshop mostly uses cutting and bonding skills with a little hand sewing. Half day or evening.

Triple Triangles
This quilt is constructed from blocks containing triangles in 3 sizes – small, medium and large. The blocks are stitched together to create several secondary patterns. Machine piecing. One day.

Idaho Beauty Scrap Quilt
This big block scrap quilt contains big and small squares coupled with half square triangles. The good thing about this quilt is that it can be made entirely from 5″ charm squares, so if you have a lot of scraps that need using up or some packs of charm squares this is an ideal opportunity to reduce that stash! Machine piecing. One day.

Scrappy Swirls
The blocks in this quilt are constructed using foundation paper piecing. Foundation paper piecing (FPP) is a very accurate form of patchwork and is perfect for blocks with intricate shapes. Fabrics are stitched to paper templates on the machine and then once the blocks are finished, the papers are removed. During the day we will work on swirly blocks and lots of tips and techniques will be given along the way. One day.

Flower Power
Sometimes you just have to make a quilt in a hurry and sometimes big is definitely beautiful. This quilt has a simple nine patch block alternating with large appliquéd flowers. I have made my quilt in electric pinks, lime green and aqua blue but I am sure it would work just as well in a more restful colour scheme. Machine piecing and appliqué. One day.

Summer Garden
Wreaths and sprays of appliquéd flowers are surrounded by a pieced sashing, featuring secondary star blocks. The quilt is finished with a rose bud border. Machine appliqué and piecing. Two days.

Christmas Table Runners
Stitch a festive Christmas table runner in time for Christmas using machine appliqué and piecing. Students can choose from two designs and customise the runner to fit any size table. One day.
