Connecting Threads are a group of quilters who meet in Elstree in Hertfordshire and last month I had the pleasure of visiting to teach a Fabric Collage workshop. I always enjoy teaching this workshop as the student work is developed from a photo or picture or piece of art that they have bought to class so always moves in multiple directions. These are my fabric collages and a starting point:
I then teach the skills and techniques that can be used to develop the collage and students work individually on their own pieces. I always love seeing how diverse the pieces are. The next few photos show work in progress at different stages through the day.

Please can anyone help me fine a Patchwork and quilting class for a beginner. Ive been looking for a very long time with know luck. I live in the Harrow area but drive so willing to drive to a class or group.

Have you tried Fashion and Fabrics shop in St Albans or Stitch and Knit at Brookmans Park, Hatfield? Can anyone suggest anywhere else?
