August is turning out to be a pretty busy month as I have been teaching a number of face to face workshops. Its so lovely to be interacting with sudents in real life and sharing their creativity. Here is some work in progress from a couple of the workshops:

I taught two beginner workshops at Stitch and Knit in Hertfordshire where we worked on an Ohio Star cushion. The students learned to use rotary cutters, all about fabric choice, accurate piecing and quilting with the walking foot.

I have also been to Elm Farm in Essex where I spent the day teaching Interconnecting Chains in the lovely studio there. This is a quilt where colour placement is crucial in ensuring that the chains interlink with each other. The students worked really hard on their designs and it was so good to see lots of variety in fabric choice. Well done ladies. Will look forward to seeing the finished quilts!
