I have just come back from a weekend at the Staverton Park Hotel teaching on a Retreat for Stitchtopia.
A lovely group of students worked all weekend on an Interlocking Chains Quilt. The quilt is made up of a repeating block but it is the colour placement which creates the interlocking effect and secondary pattern.
Here we are at the end of Day One. We also had time for a secret pin cushion swop and there were lots of great pin cushions shared.
At the end of Day Two we had lots of quilts underway and some were half completed. Everyone left having achieved a considerable amount over the weekend. The food was great and we were well looked after by the hotel. A big thank you to Helen the Tour Manager who kept us all on track and got us to meals at the right time. A fabulous weekend all round.
