Thursday 26th December
Life has been very busy of late and I haven't really had a lot of time to stitch hence the lack of posts on the blog! I have however started another project which is still in its early stages. I am hoping to work on this over the next few weeks - more to show you in January. I am off to Iceland tomorrow for a few days to hopefully see the Northern lights. I am also hoping to track down some fabrics and perhaps a quilt shop?

If you have been reading this blog over the last year I hope that you have enjoyed reading and seeing what I have been up to. Best wishes for 2014. More from me in the new year.....

Saturday 23rd November
A lovely day at Libertys Department Store in London teaching in the Heritage Suite. The room is so beautiful with all its wooden panelling and beautiful lights. The added attractions today were the beautiful Christmas decorations in the room in a white and silver theme. We have been working on a Vintage Triangle quilt and I couldn't resist taking this photo of the students work under the Christmas tree!

Saturday 16th November
Bears , bears and more bears.... Saturday saw me at The Quilter's Den in Warwick teaching my patchwork teddy workshop. There are going to be so many patchwork bears around this Christmas!! The ladies worked so hard throughout the day with everyone completing a teddy; although not all were stuffed. Isn't this one georgeous in brown with a lovely big red ribbon?

Saturday 9th November

Today I have been to Roothing Valley Quilters in Essex. We have been making Christmas Table Runners. The table runner has three stars running down the centre with holly leaves and berries around the stars. The stars have lots of little triangles so lots of patience was required. Here is some work in progress:

I have been to Sunshine Quilters today to teach my teddy bear workshop. We had lots of bears in all kinds of fabric. They looked just great. Well done to the ladies who worked so hard.

Saturday 25th October
I have been back to Just Between Friends in Essex today to teach the quilt below. We have had a very prolific day and have completed lots of blocks towards the quilt. Thank you to Caroline, Maureen and Sue for allowing me to take photos of their work in progress. All so different!

Sunday 12th October

In August I posted a photo of some fabrics that I had bought on the blog. After much deliberation I used them in a quilt with a very modern geometric design. I love the simplicity of the design and of course I am still in love with the fabrics! Marion at Dragonfly Quilting has quilted the quilt for me on her long arm quilting machine. She has quilted it with an all over heart pattern and has done a great job. Marion can be contacted at www.dragonflyquilting.co.uk I need to start a new project now....

Saturday 11th October
I have been to Barn Quilters today which is in Enfield, North London. I have been teaching a class called Interconnecting Lines. The students were working on blocks to make this quilt. The great thing with this design is that once you are underway the quilt grows quite quickly with the lines looking as if they are weaving over and under each other. Everyone worked so hard and had several blocks to take away with them them. Don't these look great?

Last year I taught several workshops for Barn Quilters and when I was there yesterday Hazel bought two of the projects that I had taught back to show me. She had gone away after the classes and finished these. It is so lovely to see projects from workshops completed. Well done Hazel!

Wednesday 8th October
Today I went to Connecting Threads Patchwork and Quilting group to teach a class. We have been making fabric flower brooches and corsages. I had a number of different designs for people to try and here are some photos of work in progress and some finished brooches.
