Saturday 28th September
I have been at Purleigh Quilters in Essex today. We have been working on Christmas Wreaths so everyone will be super organised for Christmas when it arrives in December. I forgot to take the camera so can't let you see the lovely wreaths!
This landed in my e-mail box this week. Another two finished teddies from the class two weeks ago. Aren't they lovely? Thanks Sue and Julie.

Saturday 14th September
Today I have been teaching an Introduction to Patchwork workshop at Liberty's Department Store in London in their sewing school. A very productive day with the students working so hard to stitch these lovely blocks. Everyone was new to machine patchwork so what an achievement.

Saturday 7th September
Back to Just Between Friends to teach my patchwork teddy workshop. By the end of the day everyone had a bear but they were not all stuffed. This one is georgeous! I can't wait to see the others when they are finished.

I also bought some Christmas fabric. This is from a range just in - lots of grey, white, red and green. Just had to have it! Not sure yet what I will make with it.

Saturday 17th August
Taught Day Two of my Simple Pleasues Workshop at Just Between Friends. Everyone had worked really hard on their homework after Day One so we were able to join lots of the appliqued blocks together with the squares and rectangles. Don't they look great?

Monday 12th August
I have these lovely fabrics from Moda called Flirty. A charm pack, jelly roll and some plain aqua blue fabric. I have lots of designs buzzing around in my head. Something quite simple and modern I think. Will have to get busy.

Thursday 8th - Sunday11th August
Off to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC in Birmingham. I always love going to this event. I go on some classes and to some lectures, I teach some classes, I look at quilts, I catch up with friends and I shop!

I took a class with Jane Emerson on using the embellisher. Jane was such a good teacher and I just loved the technique. We worked on a heart sampler and I got to experiemnet with all sorts of wool, felt and yarns. I think I am hooked and would like to experiment a little more.

I taught a couple of workshops where we worked on Sweet and Simple Naiive Christmas decorations. Everyone should now be ready for Christmas!

I also taught my Tropical Blooms quilt. All the students worked in really vibrant fabrics and we had lots of amazing blooms at the end of the class. I hope everyone goes on to finish their quilts as they will be simply stunning.

The last workshop that I taught was Simply the Blues - a chunky necklace made with felt balls, a zip and beads. You can see lots of work in progress here with some necklaces well on the way to being completeds. Now that I have taught the class I am looking forward to wearing the necklace!
